Lindsay Sekulowicz
Lindsay Sekulowicz has worked closely with biologists for over a decade, examining scientific and historical archives and conducting fieldwork in Asia, Africa and South America. She was previously artist in residence at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and is now a PhD student based at Kew Herbarium and Economic Botany Collection where she works in collaboration with the science team and Indigenous communities of the Northwest Amazon. Through the practices of slow looking and haptic making, she interrogates the role of the artist working within the archive, and seeks to understand how ethnographic artefacts can be reinterpreted in the postcolonial era.
